I want to arrive at my death a little late

I want to arrive at my death a little late
Draped in the silk cloth with a cape
Gliding slowly across the long walk
With slow murmuring and hushed talk

I want to arrive at my death a little late
Because I want to first celebrate
I want to make an epic scene
And tell everyone how I have been

I want to arrive at my death a little late
In bleeding purple, I want to bathe
I want to experience royalty first-hand
Before I descend on my throne grand

I want to arrive at my death a little late
All the curiosity I want to satiate
Leave a blazing trail in my wake
An inspiring story without retake

I want to arrive at my death a little late
Let the coffin and the candles wait
Only after leaving lasting words
Will I be ready to fly along with birds!

  1. I like how this glides softly like silk yet epic in purple, a grand curiosity, blazing across the sky skidding on the path like an eagle to pick up a snack, but hovering for a along time on the updrafts of royalty.
