A Bird Without Wings

I saw a bird without wings
Looking at others nearby
Flying high above in the sky
Sitting up on tall trees
Rolling, rollicking in the breeze
Diving down at the food
All while being utterly rude!

He hopped and walked
Trying to keep up the pace
He tagged far behind
Hoping to follow the trace
Bearing all the snaps and pricks
And all the fun and the tricks

Riding an emotional roller coaster
On the wanted for bullying poster
Belittling and drowning on the self
Wondering only if God could help
Cursing others, snapping at friends
Locked in such negative trends
Blaming others and everyone else
Even if it’s the truth someone tells

One fine day it grew tired of it’s fate
Decided it was time to make a change
A positive attitude was the start
Looking at the blessings was the art
The road to happiness wasn’t straight
It was full of losing fake mates
Ups and downs , progress and regress
Yet consistency was the solution best

And one day it understood the blessing
No wings was just a disguised dressing
Closer to Earth, more food it found
Looking at the beauty without bounds
Holes and hills were his new shelter
Establishing a base which never falter
Making new friends who applauded high
To all negativity it was a stark goodbye!
