You can read a thousand books,
A million videos you can watch;
You can talk to the old and wise,
Gather all the wisdom you want.
You can hoard knowledge,
Collect all the sayings in the world;
You can be as literate as a sage,
And yet be stuck to the very spot.
It is great to be called a learned,
What a big boost for the ego;
Yet you fail to be blissful,
Where is all the happiness
You thought you earned?
Without living the learning,
Without practicing the preach;
You end up being miserable,
The one with all the reach.
Even small acts of wisdom,
Tiny actions overtime;
Make a world of difference,
Than just repeating the line.
