INSIDE MY MIND

In the quiet of the night,
When everything feels so wrong,
I find a light that inspires me to fight,
A spark inside that’s very strong.

The past may linger, it tries to stay.
Well, no more, not today!
So, I listen to my heart,
With every step, I find my way.

Scars don’t hold me, they show my fight.
I’ve walked through storms, felt the rain,
But still I stand, ready for the light.
I’ve got nothing to lose, only gain!

I still struggle to find my peace,
But I know with every breath, I can ease
The pain that now throbs in my chest.
Slowly but surely, I believe in myself.
Someday, I will definitely find the strength
That will stay forever, never cease.
