A Poetic Journey: Embracing the Beauty of Winter’s Serenity and Spring’s Awakening
Covered in a blanket of snow,
Silent, the earth, where nothing grows.
The polar bears in slumber deep,
As the cold winds softly sweep.
The northern lights begin to dance,
While frozen lakes hold still their trance.
It’s that time on Earth once more,
When white paradise begins to soar.
Descending flakes of icy grace,
Mark lazy morns in winter’s embrace.
Beneath dark skies, the skis do glide,
As towering snowmen stand with pride.
A hot sip of chocolate, warm and dear,
Replaces cold beer as the chill draws near.
Playful snowball fights ensue,
And bonfires burn with a golden hue.
Yet, alas, I find no cheer,
In winter’s beauty, cold and clear.
The icy breath is much to bear,
And indoor warmth is what I wear.
My heart awaits a softer breeze,
A time when all the cold will cease.
Spring, it seems, is where I belong,
Where every day brings a gentle song.
Ah, here it comes, the tender spring,
Melting ice, a gentle thing.
Rivers rise and roses bloom,
Filling the air with sweet perfume.
Birds awaken with songs so new,
As calves and kittens frolic too.
The bears emerge from their deep sleep,
And life renews in every leap.
The rains subside, the earth dries warm,
People wander, hearts reborn.
Butterflies flutter on delicate wings,
As children laugh and nature sings.
Life has woken, in every nook,
With every step, a fresh outlook.
I should go and see the flowers,
And revel in spring’s gentle hours.
But work, it looms, a shadow near,
A task or two, and then I’ll cheer.
Yet, in the blink, the season’s passed,
And spring’s sweet moments didn’t last.
But fear not, for summer’s near,
With sunny skies and beach days clear.
The sun now reigns, its warmth so bright,
Bringing with it pure delight.
I’ll dance beneath the golden rays,
And savor every summer day.
For though the seasons come and go,
In each, there’s beauty, this I know.
But let me learn from winter’s hold,
To cherish warmth before it’s cold.
